2 Mill Lane

2 Mill Lane is an art venue in SE13, and it programmes the way a good gallery does: exhibitions that ask you to slow down. The people who come tend to come for the work first and the conversation after. Expect shows that favour looking over background noise. Pieces that reward a second visit. Rooms where you can stand in front of one thing for a while without anyone rushing you. It suits you if you like seeing new art without the polish of a shop window. Go with time to spare. Read the labels. Let one piece pull you back to the one before it.
