Almeida Theatre
Islington
1 upcoming event
Almeida is a theatre in Islington for serious drama. Work that genuinely matters. Plays with real weight, the kind that stay with you long after you've left. Classics that still have something to say, new writing crafted with genuine care and thought. There's no spectacle here, no light entertainment, no shortcuts. It's a space built for focus, where the work itself is what demands your attention. The crowd understands what they're in for: theatre that asks something of you, makes you sit with something difficult or beautiful or both. This is the particular vision you'll find reflected in the programming.
