Clapham Picturehouse is a cinema for people who like to know what they are watching before the lights go down, and who stay for the conversation afterwards. It sits in SW4, and the programme leans toward the unusual over the expected. Expect a mix. Live broadcasts from theatre and music sit alongside previews of films not yet out, and Q&As with the people who made them. Family animation gets the same care as a smaller arthouse release, often in a dubbed version for those who want one. The crowd tends to be curious and film-literate. Many come for the thing they have not seen yet, not the thing everyone is talking about.
