Club Makossa

Hackney

1 upcoming event

Club Makossa is a club for people who come for the sound first. The programming leans into bass music: dubstep, jungle, drum and bass, UK garage and techno, with the tempos and textures that give a night a proper spine. You will see house and bass nights sitting next to grime and jungle, and DJ nights that move between UKG, 140 and techno in one run. Themed nights tend to be built around a community and a specific lineage of sound, so the room often feels more like a scene than a lineup. If you like knowing the records and the people who play them, this is the kind of place that rewards turning up. Go with an open ear and a willingness to stay out late.
