The Finborough sits in SW10, and its work tends to live or die on the words. Expect new plays, first runs, and live storytelling, where one person holds the room with a true story and very little else. The programming trusts the audience to listen. That suits a particular kind of night out. You go for the writing first and the staging second. You hear every pause and leave talking about a line rather than a set. Plan it loosely. Look at what is on, pick the one that sounds least like what you expected, and go. A theatre with a clear taste rewards that kind of curiosity more than a fixed plan. The best way to learn its style is to come back more than once.
