The Horniman in SE23 runs outdoor events that don't fit neatly into one category. Members' bat walks sit alongside kids' storytelling, experimental theatre with live-scored performance, cinema events built around music and nature. The outdoor space genuinely shapes what's possible. Events feel less formal than they would indoors, more willing to mix learning, performance, and the environment together. Programming is genuinely eclectic throughout the year. Members get their own dedicated sessions too, not just public programming. If you visit, it helps to approach the place thinking in terms of breadth rather than picking a single thread. That's the draw here. The variety isn't unfocused.
