Leytonstone Social Club is a place for live music, with a clear lean towards jazz. You will find big bands, small groups and the odd leader playing with a band of their own. Some bills stay straight-ahead. Others bring in blues, rock or a group travelling from abroad, so the programme doesn't sit in one lane. The crowd tends to be listeners. People come for the music, and the room rewards that. Expect regulars who follow the scene, alongside newcomers who came for one act and stayed for the support. It sits in E11, a neighbourhood venue for those who would rather hear a set than stand at a bar.
