Messums London: Pub in Mayfair

Messums London is a place to look at art slowly. The programme leans towards contemporary work where line, mark and material do the talking. Drawing sits alongside sculpture and object-based practice, so you can expect to spend time close to the work rather than skimming past it. Go in without a plan. The rooms reward a second look. A small detail in a drawing, or the way an object sits on the floor, often says more than the wall text. It tends to draw people who like to look closely and talk about what they've seen. Come curious and you'll get more from it.
