Museum of Richmond is a compact space where you can get hands-on with local collections. The programming leans into specifics: you might find yourself learning beading techniques rooted in Victorian craft traditions, or joining family-friendly trails that explore color and design across the museum's objects. There's a craft focus here, and a curatorial angle that goes beyond the surface. It's the kind of place that treats visitors as people who want to understand things properly, not just pass through. Applied crafts. Social history. Things that work for families. The space is small enough that the experience doesn't feel passive.
