Old Spitalfields Market in E1 draws people in for more than shopping. The programming skews toward participatory events: run clubs, art sessions, craft workshops, things you're meant to join in on. These aren't passive experiences. You're here to participate, meet people, make or do something. The crowd is mixed, fitness enthusiasts, makers, artists, locals looking for something different to do on a weeknight. The market provides the space for it. Events run year-round with a rhythm that favors the communal over the one-off show. If you like doing something rather than just watching, this is the kind of place to check in on.
