Pontone Gallery

Fitzrovia

1 upcoming event

Pontone Gallery is an art venue in W1T, and it programmes like a space that trusts the work. Most shows are built around one artist, with room to follow a line of thinking rather than a quick sample of output. You come for the looking. Some exhibitions ask for a slow walk and a second look. Others are more direct, and you leave with something to argue about on the way home. The crowd tends to be people who already care about contemporary art, along with those who are learning to. Artists and regulars turn up at openings. Nobody will mind if you come alone, stand in front of one piece for ten minutes, and leave without buying anything. Go in without a plan. Read the wall text.
