About Sebright Arms Barnet

The Sebright Arms is a traditional two-bar pub on Alston Road in High Barnet, and has been a McMullen house since 1891. It is a genuine and popular backstreet community local that still retains its separate and contrasting public and saloon bars, an increasingly rare feature that gives the pub much of its character. Its standing in the neighbourhood was recognised when it gained Asset of Community Value status in 2017.

The pub combines classic local traditions with a strong food offer. Real cask ales sit alongside a wine list and bistro-style cooking, with a chef preparing fresh dishes using quality ingredients. Sunday roasts are a particular draw, and the menu also runs to burgers, ribs and other pub favourites, served across the week.

Entertainment and sociability are central to the Sebright Arms. There is live music, quiz nights and family-friendly events, sport shown on television, and pub games including a darts board and table football. Well-behaved dogs are welcome in the public bar, though not in the lounge or bistro area.

Outside, an inviting heated beer garden extends the pub's use through the year. With parking, Wi-Fi (password on request) and a warm welcome for families and children, the Sebright Arms works as both a food destination and an everyday community local.
