The Blind Beggar is a Whitechapel pub that programmes around local stories. You come for talks and screenings about London history: Kray family documentaries, East End characters, the kind of close narratives that only make real sense when you're sitting in a room where some of it actually happened. It's intimate and specific, not trying to be anything other than what it is. The crowd here is curious about how London got made, what shapes these streets and neighbourhoods.
