The Mayor Gallery

Westminster

The Mayor Gallery is an art space in SW1Y 6AB, and it feels like one. Expect a considered programme, built around exhibitions and the people who collect them. Much of its presence sits in the art fair world. You will often find it at major international fairs, where the work is chosen with care. Photography runs through the programme. Spotlights on single photographers give the shows a clear focus, so you know what you are looking at before you step in. The crowd tends toward collectors, curators, students and people who already know the names on the walls. If you are newer to the art, bring curiosity. Asking questions is part of the visit.
