Woodpecker Youth Club

Deptford

Woodpecker Youth Club is a place built around young people, and it sits in SE14. Its art listings lean towards groups, not one-off shows. You'll find sessions for specific ages. Some are for girls aged 11 and up. Others are open to all ages, including home educating families who want a regular group to join. The useful thing to notice is that these are groups, so they tend to repeat. If you're choosing for a child, start with the age range. Each event sets its own rules, so check the listing before you go. Expect a crowd of kids, teens and the grown-ups who bring them. It feels closer to a community club than a gallery or a night out.
