Nambucca: Darts in Archway

Nambucca is a 300-capacity live music pub on Holloway Road, the kind of North London room that has put on bands seven nights a week for years. It suits you if you want a proper pub night with a gig or club night attached, and a dart board you can use without it being the main event. Think indie crowd, late closes, and a board in the corner rather than a polished oche bar.

The darts side is pub league, not paid bookings. Nambucca plays in the City of London Darts Association (CoLDA), so on league nights the board is in use for matches, and it turns up on darts listings as a tournament venue too. Outside fixtures you can just throw, there is no session fee and nothing to book.

It sits up at the Archway end of Holloway Road in N7, a short walk from Archway and Holloway Road tube stations on the Northern and Piccadilly lines. Doors open from late morning, and it runs latest on Fridays and Saturdays when there is usually live music or a club night on. Best to treat darts as something you do around a gig rather than the reason you turn up, and check ahead if a CoLDA match is booked on the board.
