Out of Office

Canary Wharf on Friday nights gets the post-work crowd spilling out of towers, and Amazing Grace catches them exactly when they're ready to loosen the tie. The cocktails are proper, the kind that taste like someone actually knows what they're doing behind the bar. It's that easy pivot from desk to drinks without pretending it's something more than it is.

The vibe is downtown and unforced. You're not here for the scene or to see anyone; you're here because work's done and the weekend's starting now. Groups from different floors end up mixing, which is the thing about Friday drinks in the financial district, nobody's precious about it.
