Live Music Fridays

The Bedford Tavern is an Irish pub in Croydon, handily placed between East and West stations if you're moving through South London. Live music on Friday nights is what brings people in, and Irish pubs have a real gift for this: no stage production, no fuss, just a room full of people and whatever the evening brings. It works because there's no pretence to it.

This is the kind of place where you arrive without a fixed plan and stay because the night builds its own momentum. That's what a good live music night in an Irish pub should feel like: low-key, warm, easy to settle into.
