The concept of service can be understood as an act – paid or unpaid – through which one fulfils responsibilities and supports others, existing only in the moment of its enactment. In Non-Ordinary Services , the body becomes a living archive. Moving through shifting states of service, submission, intimacy and control, the dancers’ bodies are constantly intertwined, carried, manipulated and supported, creating images that feel simultaneously tender and unsettling.
