Tuesday Night Chess Club

Pub chess is a London thing that never dies. The Duke of Kent runs one Tuesday nights, hosted by Jake, and it's set up the way all good pub clubs work: no gatekeeping, everyone plays everyone, grandmasters end up in games with first-timers. You show up because it's social. You stay because it becomes your routine.

You don't need to be skilled. You don't need to be competitive. You need to like the game and the people, and that's enough. That's what makes weekly club nights work: the same table, the same time, low stakes, real friendships built slow across months of playing the same people.

Come if you play. Start if you want to learn.
