A mindful nature walk and creative drawing workshop for the LGBTQIA+ community in Victoria Park and St Margaret's House. Out to Hike and The Queer Arts & Social Club are joining together to offer a mindful nature walk and creative drawing and inks workshop for the LGBTQIA+ community. Meeting in Victoria Park, Kat (she/her, Out to Hike) will lead us around the park, inviting us to notice all the beautiful flora (trees/flowers) and fauna (birds and other animals) we might see. We'll also hear about why being in nature is good for our physical and mental health. It's an opportunity to slow down, connect and feel grounded in the nature that's right on our doorsteps. From the park, we'll continue on to The Gallery Café garden at St Margaret's House, where Gemma (she/her, The Queer Arts & Social Club) will lead us in a relaxed, interactive and collaborative drawing and inks workshop. We'll be invited to draw on the inspiration we've gathered on our journey together around Victoria Park, and from our beautiful garden setting.
