Sunday Open Mic

Open mics work best when they feel purposeful rather than obligatory. At The Approach Tavern, it's straightforward: free to enter, welcoming both performers and people there to listen. In Bethnal Green, that draws a real mix. Regulars who keep coming back, newcomers testing new material, people who just walked in.

There's no polish here. You're sitting with whoever shows up, and sometimes the silence between sets is as telling as the music. If you find music through word-of-mouth rather than algorithms, or you're building the nerve to perform, this is where it happens.
