Wednesday Comedy Show

Comedy Freaks keeps Kings Cross lively on weeknights with a line-up that mixes TV faces and newer acts finding their voice. The DJ between sets matters here, keeping things social and loose enough that it doesn't feel like an earnest comedy club, more like a night out where you happen to laugh a lot. Cheap drinks help with the settling-in feeling.

This kind of show works because no one's pretending it's high art. Comedians test material, audiences watch friends and maybe someone they've seen on telly, and the room stays warm and a bit chaotic.
