Substance presents Hair of the Dog: Poetika Music + Jumpin Jesse Jones + Henry Grace + Carolina Diego

Spice of Life is a Soho room with a long run in London music, and Substance has spent 18 years filling it with new acts. The Sunday 8 November bill mixes spoken word and acoustic songs with one solo player who sounds like a full band. At £8.80 for four acts, it's an easy call for a night that leans quiet and close.
