Open Mic Night

Wednesday nights at the Angel of Bow are built around live music from people in the room. Mel Patman runs it with an open hand: sing, play piano, read some spoken work, whatever you've got. Seven is timed so you can slip in after work or grab dinner first.

The crowd's a real mix, no pretense, just people showing up to play or listen. It's the kind of spot where regulars matter, and East London becomes less a place you visit and more one where you know people.
