Steak Night at The White Bear

Steak night at The White Bear is the kind of outing you plan when you want a proper meal and a drink with no complications. The offer is the draw: two steaks trigger a free bottle of wine, so it's built for two people rather than one. Ruislip sits west of London's centre, which means it's a journey, but if you're already out that way it's worth the stop. A Heartwood Inn means the food will be solid and unshowy.
