Live Jazz Jam Sessions

Tropics 68 runs a weekly jazz jam where you show up not knowing exactly what's going to happen. Free entry, and they welcome anyone to sit down with a drink or pick up an instrument. The Cuban-bar setting's already warm without any fuss, which suits a jam session perfectly.

It's worth the trip to Thornton Heath. Jam nights draw people who care about the music more than the polish. You get a friendlier crowd, the kind who are actually here to play or listen, not posture. Come for the spontaneity, stay because you heard something good you didn't expect.
