About
Nigeria, 2014. Teenagers Tisana, Haleema, and Ruha are best friends discussing celebrities, intimacy, and dieting. When militant insurgents kidnap them, forcing them toward an uncertain future, they rely solely on each other. As fear and religious divisions threaten their bond, their friendship faces an ultimate test.
Director Ewa Dina, winner of the 2026 JMK Award, makes her Young Vic debut with Theresa Ikoko's award-winning play about friendship under extreme duress. The script won the Alfred Fagon Award (2015), George Devine Award (2016), and was a Verity Bargate Award finalist. Performed in The Maria.
