Quiz

The Hemingford's quiz is the kind of night that slides into your week without needing planning. Mid-week, cash-in-hand, two quid to enter. You show up, your brain gets a workout, and if you win a tenner or some chocolate, that's a bonus.

Every other Wednesday from 8pm, you've got a solid two-and-a-bit hours with people who are there for the same reason. Come with friends or solo; most quiz rooms have a mix of both. The entry's low enough that it doesn't matter if you know nothing about sport or telly. You might surprise yourself. You might not. Either way, it's a proper London weeknight.
