About
“The most fascinating, retro-maniac and genuine thing that has happened to Italy” - Rolling Stone Since 2007, Calibro 35 have been redefining cinematic funk, blending murky grooves, hypnotic rhythms, and urban psychedelia. Sampled by Dr. Dre and JAY-Z and sharing stages with Roy Ayers, Sun Ra Arkestra, Thundercat and Robert Glasper, they’ve carved a reputation as one of the most exciting independent bands on the planet. Fresh from composing the soundtrack for Francesco Zippel’s award-winning documentary Ellroy vs. L.A. , Calibro 35 transform James Ellroy’s dark, noir-soaked Los Angeles into a visceral musical journey. With a new album on the horizon, this is cinematic crime-funk at its finest.
