Poetry Night at The Oystercatcher

The Oystercatcher runs a poetry night on the first Monday of each month from 7pm. It's open mic: you read, you listen, you see what the night brings. Free.

That pulls people with actual work rather than spectators hunting for entertainment. You get real range - polished pieces next to material being tested. Being in Greenwich keeps it clear of the central poetry-crowd noise.

Worth it if you write, testing new work, or want to hear what actual Londoners are thinking about. The venue gets it right.
