Community Day at Eastway Baths

Eastway Baths is opening the whole building for the afternoon, run together with Community Sauna Baths, who operate the site. There are activities for children, a community exhibition put together by the people who use the building, yoga sessions, music from local DJs, and lunch. The sauna is open to everyone through the afternoon and nothing needs booking in advance. Register at the desk when you arrive and take a slot. Slots run every half hour, thirty minutes each, with around twenty places at a time. Sweet Sundays are part of the day as well, bringing their open mic and jam for spoken word and music to the cafe from three in the afternoon until seven. Turn up to play something, or come and listen. Everyone is welcome and there is no ticket. Come for an hour or stay for the whole afternoon. Eastway Baths is a bar, cafe and cultural venue on Eastway, two minutes from Hackney Wick station, with a hall, a sunroom, a cafe and a garden.
