About
De Beauvoir Town's got a Sunday ritual worth joining. The Hunter S is a proper art-deco room where local DJs rotate through soulful and house sets, and anyone with a mix can get on the decks through a raffle system. You're looking at 20 to 30 minute slots, so it moves quick but gives you real time to settle in.
It's free in, which means there's no gatekeeping about who plays or what you need to spend. The crowd brings board games and sticks around, so it's as much about lingering and talking as it is about the music. The vibe is collaborative rather than competitive, which is rare in rooms that take their sound seriously.
