Southwark Saturdays

Borough Market is where central London gathers on a Saturday, and the Southwark Tavern sits right in that flow. The crowd, the noise, the smell of roasting meat: it's what a London weekend feels and sounds like when you're in the middle of it.

Come for the food and the drink, both serious. The bar moves fast and the tables are always full. You'll find yourself three deep at the counter or squeezed into a corner, and that's when it really works. It's the kind of place where Saturday afternoon dissolves into evening without anyone quite deciding to leave.
