Sunday Jazz Session

The Earl of Derby runs a jazz session every Sunday from 5 to 7pm, timed for after the roast service closes. By then the lunch crowd has left and what's lingering is people who've decided to stay for a drink and live music, a different energy to the earlier food-focused hours.

This is framed as a relaxed way to end the weekend. Local musicians play to a room that isn't fussed with formality, just people who came for the sound. It's the kind of Sunday ritual that means something if you find the afternoons otherwise quiet, or if you want to hear something live without the Friday-night-circuit feeling.
