About
Some reports suggest that 1 in 3 people have experienced a dark presence at the end of their bed at night, while others describe encounters with luminous beings during moments of crisis, danger, or distress. Across cultures and throughout history, such experiences have been interpreted in strikingly different ways. What, if anything, can philosophy tell us about such encounters? This lecture with Dr Krisztina Mair explores what angels and demons would have to be according to classical metaphysics and why these questions remain relevant today.
