About
The witch trials represent a dark chapter in England's history. But who was persecuted and why, and are they really in the past? This talk looks at the facts of the early modern witch trials in England and how the psychologies and motivations behind them carry on into our present society. Led by Maria Beadell, a writer, actor and tour guide and founder of Herstorical Tours - guided theatrical walking tours and special events that tell London women's stories from history through comedy and theatre. Pints of Knowledge is a series of public talks where experts, researchers, and big thinkers share fascinating ideas all in the relaxed setting of a pub.
