About
Camberwell's chess social at The Sun is exactly what it sounds like: a weekly gathering where you show up, buy a drink, and find someone to play. No entry cost, no formality. Regulars know what they're doing; newcomers are as welcome.
The draw is simple. You get to play without the tournament rigmarole. Faces vary week to week, but the board is always busy. All levels mean you'll find someone to match your pace, whether you're shaking off rust or you play most weeks.
It's a low-key thing. The kind of ritual that sticks if the area suits you.
