Saturday Irish Trad Session

Three musicians host Irish traditional at Toolan's on Saturday: Karen Ryan on fiddle, Gary Connolly on accordion, Pete Quinn on keyboard. Fiddle carries the melody, accordion shapes rhythm and texture, keys provide foundation. That's the core of what makes a session work.

Irish trad lives on shared repertoire, everyone knowing the same tunes and playing them differently each time. A session like this works because the musicians understand that language. For you, it's a Saturday night in a London pub with centuries-old music still being lived in real time.

Come if you want an evening focused on musicians who know this tradition.
