Tropix sets up Saturdays as something distinctly different from your standard night out. Tropical atmosphere, a live DJ, tiki cocktails that actually taste like they're taking you somewhere, and entertainment that commits to the bit. It doesn't pretend to be subtle, which is exactly the point.
The draw is straightforward. You get food that plays along with the theme, music to dance to, and late hours until 3am. Works if you want theatre and dancing together, something more considered than a straight club.
It's worth your Saturday if you like nights that know what they are.
