Child Health Clinic at Best Start Family Hub: Queens Road

Child Health Clinic is a drop in session for all babies and children from birth to 5 years. Please note: To ensure you are seen by the Health Team, please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to closing. You’re welcome to drop in to one of our friendly Child Health Clinics to have your baby or child weighed, or to speak with a member of the Health Visiting Team. You can also collect your baby’s bottle of Healthy Start vitamins during your visit. Find out more: Healthy Start | London Borough of Waltham Forest What to expect: These drop-in sessions are a chance to ask questions about your child’s health, growth or development. Please bring your baby’s red book with you when you come. (Please note that clinics are closed on Bank Holidays.) As part of the Healthy Child Programme, your child will be invited to attend key health and development reviews at your local Family Hub: • At 10 to 12 months • At 24 to 27 months When your child is about three and a half years old, you will be sent a school readiness questionnaire to complete and return. If any extra support is needed, we may invite you to a school readiness clinic held in locations across the borough. This is a Best Start in Life session. When you see Active Ashton you can expect a session to promote your child’s health.
