Blackhorse Workshop is an art space in E17, and it leans towards making things. You come to get your hands dirty, learn a tool, and leave with something you built. The programme is mixed. Some sessions are for families, so a parent and child can spend a morning or afternoon on one project together. Others teach practical skills from the ground up, like using hand tools properly. Longer courses run in terms, so you can come back week after week and watch your skills build. There are club nights too, drawing a queer crowd into a room that is more about the people than the show. If you want art made by hand, in a room full of people doing it, this is a good place to start.
