The Hearn Recital Room is where you go for chamber music and new work. It's the kind of live performance that genuinely needs a proper room and a proper listening environment. You'll find established chamber ensembles alongside emerging composers and performers. Classical and contemporary programming sit side by side here. It's intimate, which shapes everything about how it sounds, and acoustic throughout. There's no hiding in a space like this: everything depends on the musicians and the people listening to them. If you're after the real thing, not background music, not amplified beyond recognition, this is where you'll find it.
