The Herne Tavern: Pub in Southwark, London

The Herne Tavern is an art venue in SE22, and it rewards going in without a fixed plan. Live music is a regular part of what it hosts, so expect sessions you can settle into and listen to. Think of it as a room for people who like a bit of surprise. You might come for a singer, a band you haven't heard of, or a show that sits somewhere between music and art. The people drawn to it tend to be there to listen and talk about what they saw. Check the listings below before you go. Each event has its own character, so pick the night that suits your mood: a busy room, a quiet set, or something you only find by turning up.
