1 upcoming event

The Hayward Gallery shows contemporary art focused on photography and documentary work. You come here for exhibitions that carry real weight and complexity. Personal narratives, intimate and challenging, that ask genuine engagement from you rather than passive viewing. The programming is thoughtful, not crowd-pleasing blockbusters of famous-name artists. It draws people who want to understand what contemporary artists are actually exploring and making, not just admiring something beautiful on a wall. You'll find work that challenges how you see and what you think about representation and truth.
