James Freeman Gallery

Angel

James Freeman Gallery is an art space in N1 where the shows are the point. You come to look, slowly, and talk a bit afterwards if you want to. The programme tends to favour work with some grit to it. Shows that ask you to look again, and to think about what you're actually seeing. You don't need to know the artists to feel at home here. Come with curiosity and that's enough. Good gallery visits start small. Read the programme before you go, arrive without a fixed plan, and give yourself time in the room. The best ones are the visits where you leave with one picture still in your head.
