Kings Arms E2: Pub in Shoreditch, London

Kings Arms in E2 is a food venue with a serious record habit. Food comes first here, but the music is never far behind. The programming leans towards vinyl, with turntable nights and DJs who play closely chosen sets. It suits people who like to listen as well as eat. Open decks nights are where the room gets interesting. Bring a crate, put a record on, and see who reacts. You will find record diggers, local DJs and people who came for dinner and stayed. It is a good pick if you want a night out with a soundtrack rather than a club. Go for the sound, and let the food set the pace.
