Love Affair Basement: Pub in Shoreditch, London

Love Affair Basement is an art space in E2 with a loose, varied programme. The crowd tends to be queer and creative, though the mix is wider than any single label. You'll find literary readings that suit a quiet, attentive room, drag that plays to a full house, and markets where independent makers set up their stalls. Club nights arrive with their own themes, often playful and a little theatrical. They reward anyone willing to dress up or bring a few friends. The listings change often, so the easiest way to choose is by mood. Pick the readings if you want to sit still and listen. Pick the drag or the club nights if you want noise, energy and a late dance.
