Shakespeare's Globe in SE1 is a theatre space where performance and conversation have equal standing. You'll find young company productions alongside symposium programming. The venue treats theatre as a place for ideas to develop, not just stories to consume. The crowd that shows up here wants work that makes them think. Programming mixes ensemble pieces with discussion events, with the line between them often blurred in interesting ways. What connects it all is a commitment to theatre that asks real questions of its audience. It's not spectacle for its own sake. Come here expecting to be engaged as much as entertained.
