Swingers Oxford Circus (officially Swingers West End) is an indoor crazy golf club just off Oxford Circus, built around two nine-hole courses with a kitsch English-seaside theme. It suits a night out with mates, a date, or a group celebration, and the single most useful thing to know is that it is adults-only from 6pm, so book a daytime slot if you want to bring under-18s.

You play one of two courses (the seaside Promenade or the Meteorite course), then circle the four cocktail bars and street food traders between holes. The crazy golf setup

There are two nine-hole courses to play. The original is themed like an English seaside promenade, all kitsch holiday nostalgia, with a newer Meteorite course adding more variety. You book a round of nine holes rather than wandering freely, and the layout is designed so you loop past the bars and food stalls between shots. It plays well for couples and small groups, and there is a fair bit of theatre in the design beyond just the holes. Children must be 7 or over to play, and under-18s have to be with an adult.

Food and drink

This is as much a bar as a golf venue. There are four cocktail bars across the site, including an island-style bar surrounded by palm trees, plus a roof terrace. Three street food traders handle the eating, so you can graze between or after your round rather than booking a separate dinner. The drinks lean towards cocktails and the atmosphere is loud and social, which is the point. If you want a quieter game, aim for an earlier daytime slot rather than a weekend evening.

Adults-only and family hours

For most of the week the West End venue is over-18 only after 6pm, and you will need to show photo ID on arrival. If you want to bring children, go during family hours: under-18s are welcome every day before 6pm with last entry at 5pm, though Saturdays are adults-only all day. Kids still need to be 7 or older and accompanied by an adult. Plan around these windows before you book, because the daytime and evening crowds are very different.
